The Brokies is a short web series of 5 Chapters, following the misadventures of four desperate Lebanese guys on their pursuit of “The Lebanese Dream” in Europe.

Filmed over the course of 18 months between 2024 and 2025, it chronicles some of the best and worst moments in the lives of its creators, in other words it is a very real brotherhood story.

Through parties, war, loss and growth, The Brokies is presented as a work of fiction that sometimes blurs the line between reality and fantasy, between dream and present, between Europe and Lebanon, all while reflecting on the Lebanese urge to seek a better life “Outside”.

Chapter 1 – Takeaway/ناولني

In Chapter 1, Husein, Karim, Mario and Anthony are looking for a free party, but when all guestlists are full, they are left with a roadside beer and the void they are trying to fill.

Chapter 2 – Ferry / تايتانيك

In Chapter 2 The Brokies somehow make it onto a ferry heading to Italy, their overnight rite of passage is completed at sunrise with a fresh sense of hope.

Chapter 3 – Gairo Vecchio / ضيعة ضايعة

The Brokies have finally made it to Italy, but the reality of the Israeli war on Lebanon still follows them in strange parallels.

Chapter 4 – Sète, France / ستّ الدنيا

Now in France, the Brokies are closer than ever to their Lebanese Dream, too close to be true, but the unexpected is just around the corner.

Chapter 5 – Situationship / كلنا للوطن

Finally, in Chapter 5 The Brokies are different, yet the same. Hsein goes right back into the loop, but this time he knows that “The Lebanese Dream” is just a dream.
